I am co-founder and CTO of Forest Neurotech, a focused research organization developing the first implanted whole-brain neural interface.

Before Forest Neurotech, I spent over a decade at Google & Alphabet. I was a founding team member at Verily and the General Manager for the CGM development program with Dexcom. I led the design of the G7, Dexcom's flagship product that has launched worldwide. I was also an early Google [x] employee that worked on Smart Contact Lenses.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and went on to complete my M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. My Ph.D. research focused on developing tiny wireless neural implants for brain computer interfaces which were subsequetly used to launch Neuralink.

My interests include brain computer interfaces, wearable health technology, and artificial intelligence. I do consulting for startups in the tech and health tech sectors and do some angel investing.
